Amazing TV, Not a Single Negative Point!,
After reading the only other review for this product, I was slightly worried about this particular TV. First of all I advise using first class delivery as the ‘free super saver’ took a week!
After unboxing, it was clear that the set looks absolutely stunning! The TV is insanely thin and the stand looks great too. I used the ‘samsung ultra slim wall mount’ as it hangs like a picture frame sitting tightly up against the wall, taking advantage of the slimness. After plugging in the TV aerial and ethernet cable the TV essentially sets itself up! It found all my normal freeview channels and the 4 extra HD channels look AMAZING. The screen is absolutely fantastic even though LED is said to be inferior. Even the standard definition channels have been upscaled so the quality is great. It is so easy to use and the guide feature is one of the best i’ve seen, allowing me to watch a channel whilst seeing whats on any other channel for a week in advance! I was amazed with smart hub which allows me to go on facebook, daily motion and even google maps at the touch of a button! The remote is fantastically simple and the touch buttons at the bottom of the TV are great too. The 1080p is beautiful (BBC HD is the only 1080p channel as the others are 1080i) but I haven’t seen a more crisp display than this!
All in all, I was put off initially by the price but since it has arrived, I haven’t found a single negative so I would advise this TV to anyone!

Disappointing and well below par.,
First impressions
– Great design
– Great picture quality
Further investigations
Navigation: Takes over a second to change channel – not acceptable.
Menus: Software likes to search/refresh lists after user enters each single character – making entering a long string (like an actor’s name) into the Smart Hub features very frustrating.
Connections: no analogue audio output is very annoying. (bought a converter on Amazon – which adds a high-pitch hissing noise when SPDIF switches off when changing channel)
Smart Hub: Software looks basic and moving cursor is very slow.
Picture: Dynamic contrast is a real pain – changing channel and the menu dims.
Price: Definitely £[] over priced (set by Samsung – seems same price everywhere).!
Looks like navigating through ALL the menus (from changing channel to navigating the Smart Hub) is very slow – indicates to me that the CPU inside the thing is not up to the job. (could also be rubbish programming).
Not impressed. This TV was much more expensive than competitor’s models, yet I don’t see the benefit.

Problems with certain freeview channels,
Anyone with this set should look out for problems with freeview channels running on multiplex c (mux c). If you flick to pick tv (channel 11) or pick tv+1 (channel 44), as an example, and watch carefully the screen blinks black after around 30 seconds. If after it does this you press the guide, instead of seeing whats on tv in the upper left mini screen all you see is a black screen. When you press guide again the whole screen remains black (sound can be heard still), and stays black for nearly a minute before showing whats on tv again. Thats just not normal.
This suggest some issue that needs a patch or something? Anyone got any clues?
