Great TV, Wrongly advertised,
I have just taken delivery of a Sony KDL22EX320BU LED Edge Lit TV, I had done some research as I wanted a small screen TV capable of Internet and Freeview HD. When I saw the spec. for this tv on another website I noticed it was quoted as having a Freeview HD tuner, I checked a number of other sites and 4 out of 5 confirmed this “fact”, so I parted with the cash. I even called the seller Hughes Direct to double check the spec. On delivery I took out the instruction booklet and checked, needless to say the not so easy to understand document does say that all tvs in the EX range are Freeview HD…EXCEPT the 24 and 22 inch..bummer. Also the tv only has 2 HDMI inputs and 1 Scart input.
On the bright side it does have a great picture, and intelligently upscales whatever input your have. The internet setup (wired) was easy and seems pretty good so far. I have kept the item even though wrongly advertised, Hughes were very good and offered a full refund.
Personally I think Sony should write clearer specs. for their kit, it was not easy to find this info out.
When I looked I could not find this TV on the Sony website hence my double checking specs. before purchase.
If anyone finds a Freeview HD, 1080p, Internet TV for sale in 22 or 24 inch pls shout!

Simply Awesome,
What an absolute quality product and extremely well specified. The picture is well detailed in normal definition, I have yet to see it perform in 720p HD but it sure promises to deliver. The sound may be a little tinny but that is the compromise of such a small screen, but hook it up to a sound system (I use the second generation Bose Sound-dock) and you have an excellent entertainment system. Internet TV is fundamentally what sold this TV to me; as that medium is rapidly becoming the future of home entertainment, and the wireless internet setup is simple, quick and trouble free. The only difficult decision I have had in selecting this TV was what screen size to choose; but to be honest for a wall mount in the bedroom the 22″ is perfect and the fact that it does not boast full HD is insignificant where a small screen is concerned (unless you wish to use it as a PC monitor of course). I normally go for the Samsung brand but there is very little in the Samsung range at the moment that promises to out perform this excellent piece of equipment with multifaceted functionality. Buy it; you will be delighted – I was!

Welcome to the 21st Century,
I love my new TV – I feel like I’ve joined the 21st century! It was much easier to set up and connect to my wifi than I expected, this was up and running within minutes. The picture quality is excellent, so much clearer than my old CRT TV and the sound is fine for a small TV. I was surprised how good the quality of the picture is when watching BBC iPlayer – it’s just as good as normal TV although I understand this will depend on your connection speed – I’m lucky that mine is quite fast.
With the wifi you can also connect to other devices – my phone was in the same room with its wifi turned on and I was a bit creeped out to see all my phone music show up on the TV menu, a nice option to play your music if you want to.
You can also browse the internet, although this feature is a bit clunky as you’re relying on arrows on the remote to scroll between links. For typing you’re using the numbers on the remote like you would on a phone. Another useful feature is being able record programmes onto a USB although I haven’t tried this yet.
All in all, this is so much more than a TV. This TV is in my bedroom, I think I’m going to have to upgrade my main one too!

Great TV. Internet easy to set up. Iplayer worked well. Worked with the DNLA on my NAS drive to find all my music, pictures, videos. note the USB recording must be to a Hard disk (min 32GB) and not memory stick and does not use PC formating and so you can’t plug HDD into PC later. It has some skype widget but no information on this in the manual which is only available elelctronically from the TV or the web. I don’t mind this so much but it is the lack of information that anoys me. But Overall I happy with the TV
